Flower is worked in rounds; there are seven rounds to make to complete the 3D flower. The center part of the flower is made of three rounds of long stamens worked using chain stitched, slip stitches and single crochet. In between the rounds of stamens we worked a round of single crochet stitches to create a base. The central stamens can be different length; you can choose how long you want your stamens to be: it can be 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 chain stitches long.
In our video tutorial you will see how to modify your 3D flower by making stamens longer or shorter. The last round is a round of petals made be using tall crochet stitches – double treble crochet. The last round consists of petals and long antennas in between each petal made the same way as the stamens in the center but a bit longer.
For this crocheted flower we used a ball of Space Dyed Yarn: 55% cotton, 45% polyacrylic, 160m in 50g.; and a crochet hook 2.25 mm or 2 mm.

Hi everyone. In this tutorial you will see how to crochet this interesting flower, with 3D center part. All my flowers made of space dyed yarn, you can use a yarn of one color as well. Also in this tutorial you will see how to change this flower a little, for example I this third flower I made a bit longer stamens in the center.
The stamens in the center are made on the front of the flower only. Here let me show you the back – nothing can be seen there. Let’s begin the work and see how to crochet this flower.
For work I will be using Space Dyed Yarn and a crochet hook.
Begin the work by making a chain of 5, and join the chain in the round by making a slip stitch into the first chain stitch. The foundation ring is ready.
Begin the 1-st round: chain 1 to bring up the yarn, now I will continue working into the foundation ring sc, then make the first little stamen – for this chain 4, then slip into the second chain stitch away from the hook and the slip into each of next 2 chain stitches. Now the last slip stitch should be made into the side loop of the sc that this stamen is coming out of. By working in this way the sc stitch is still available to work in, we will be working into this stitch while making the next round. And the first stamen of this round is ready!
Lets continue the round, repeat the same: sc into the ring, chain 4, then slip into the second chain stitch away from the hook, then slip into each of next 2 chain stitches and slip into the side loop of a sc stitch that we’ve just made into the ring. The second small stamen is ready!
Continue this round and make 6 more stamens the same way. Keep working.
