Crochet Twisted Bride Tutorial 50 Part 1 of 9studio sheru
Brides (bars) are the narrow connections between the motifs of a lace that does not have a mesh ground. They are made in various ways depending on the lace technique. This video demonstrates how to make the twisted bride stitch. This simple background filling stitch is one of the basic stitches in Romanian point lace, and sometimes it is used in Irish Lace Crochet and Guipure Lace Crochet. The twisted bride (bar) is used for the filling up the space between the motifs of a lace and this type of bride is more open and lacier then most of the other ones. Thanks for watching!
